Dr. Antonio Gonzalez is a distinguished physician with over 20 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, emergency care, family practice, and clinical research. A graduate of Eugenio Maria de Hostos University of Medicine (1994), he went on to complete specialized training as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey, where he practiced until 2005.
Dr. Gonzalez has served diverse patient populations—from emergency medicine roles across Puerto Rico to operating a long-standing family practice in Southwest Florida since 2006. His clinical approach blends deep cardiovascular expertise with comprehensive, patient-centered primary care.
A committed medical educator, Dr. Gonzalez has been a clinical instructor for Nova Southeastern University’s D.O. and P.A. programs for nearly two decades. He is also an accomplished clinical researcher, contributing to major studies including the MOVE-OUT Molnupiravir trial, published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
